'Computer Science For Fun'
If you want to take your students beyond what they’re learning in
ICT and maths, into worlds like artificial intelligence, digital music
and CGI magic, Computer Science for Fun can help you. We publish a website
and magazine brimming with fun topics for students from 14 and up to sink
their teeth into. We focus on real-world research and new technologies,
so students get a good idea of work that scientists are doing right now.
Computer science is everywhere, changing the way we do art, sport, the
environment and film – so you’ll find something for every interest.
You can find us on the web at www.cs4fn.org, where new articles are added
all the time. You can also order free copies of our print magazine, which
comes out twice a year. Our material is perfect to help students research
projects, get new ideas and make cross-curricular connections, and see
where computer science can take them.
We can also come and talk to your
class about computer science. We’re based in the East End, in the
computer science department at Queen Mary, University of London. Our researchers
are delighted to give talks on topics like women in computing, artificial
intelligence and how cyborgs are helping people with disabilities. Contact
us on our website and we can set up a visit.
