The Basics:

Costs: Workshops are FREE to schools situated in Tower Hamlets.
For Schools from other boroughs the fee is £50 per workshop (1.5 – 2hrs.).
NB: If workshops are cancelled with less than 48 hours notice, we reserve the right to charge schools £50 per workshop. (incl. Tower Hamlets schools)

Costs for Materials: For the “Rudolf The Red Nose Reindeer” workshop (electric circuits) we have to charge for the cost of materials that the children use and take home with them. The cost is £1 per child, which will be billed after the workshop for the actual number of children attending. This charge applies to all schools, including those from Tower Hamlets.

How to book:
Please phone the Soanes Centre manager, Sigrid Werner, on 020- 8252 6644 to book. and for more information.
Workshop times are usually 10am – 12noon or 1pm - 3pm. These times can be changed by mutual agreement.

What about lunch:
We do not provide lunch or any refreshments.
You can bring a packed lunch that can be eaten in the classroom before or after the workshop, or, weather permitting, you can picnic anywhere is the park.
Please inform us at the time of booking, if you intend to have lunch here!

Special Educational Needs:
We welcome children with special needs (both Special Needs classes and individual children) and can adapt any
of our workshops to suit your class. The Soanes Centre and its large pond are wheelchair accessible, as are the main
paths in the park. If your class includes children with individual SEN it is helpful for us if you can tell at the time of booking but it is important to tell us before the start of the class itself!
